Our prayerful greetings to each one in the Lord, to the Basaynon Katig-uban USA-Canada.
As the saying goes, "in union, there is strength".
We join in the celebration of the International Year (2005) of the Eucharist, launched in the 48th International Eucharistic Congress held in Guadalajara, Mexico last October 10-17, 2004; likewise the Marian Year for the Philippines.
Despite the distance, we know we are made close to each other by Jesus present in the Eucharist, in Mary's guidance, and by the protection of St. Michael The Archangel, powerful patron of all Basaynon.
As your new pastors for the period 2005-2009, we are inspired by the good news of unity from among the Basaynons manifested in the annual fiesta gatherings, in collective efforts for programs and projects especially for the Parish. Once again we seek your support, and we promise our dedicated service.
Our diocese is also preparing for its Synod come 2007, with the theme, "Buhat, Pakigsasaro, Harayo pa an Lalakton (1 Kings 19:7). This is also another call for a continued unity from among the Samarnon at home and in foreign lands.
Our special greetings to "The TABUNGARS" Mike, Fely, Juliet, Arthur, Ernie, and Pery, the Hermanos-Hermanas of this year's gathering.
