GREETINGS FROM THE MAYOR

On behalf of the people of the City and County of San Francisco, it is my pleasure to extend a cordial welcome to attendees of the Basaynon Katig-uban Inc. USA & Canada's Annual Fiesta. This celebration, held in honor of Saint Michael the Archangel, Patron Saint of Basey, Samar, Philippines, contributes meaningfully to our City's rich cultural heritage and respect for tradition. I commend Basaynon Katig-uban's contributions to our community as a non-profit socio-civic organization, and wish them the best of luck in the future.

I am glad that the fiesta's attendees, coming from all over the United States and Canada, will have the opportunity to sample the sights, sounds and atmosphere of our lovely City. A universally loved travel destination famous for the magnificent span of the Golden Gate Bridge and the charm of its Cable Cars, the City of San Francisco offers an abundance of views and experiences for visitors to fall in love with. No other city in the world has comparable ocean splendor, fine wineries and culinary delights, breathtaking natural parks, galleries and museums, a global center of technology, and so many other pleasures in such close proximity to one another.
